I was totally inspired by Ina Garten (her tulips are gorgeous) when creating this painting in the month of April. I had three primrose plants I had just bought at the garden center and imagined the not yet in bloom pansies. Anyway, I had so much fun doing this because it was Spring after all, if only on the calendar. The thought of the coming Spring flowers always helps Vermonters get through rainy, cool (and sometimes snowy) April and into the month of May when the sun shines more often and the flowers begin to bloom.
